received a small package with two little chains in it. No invoice, nothing. I did not order this. I did get a return address of Worldwide INT/L Inc at 11120 Hindry AVE UNIAT B Los Angeles Ca90046

I ordered a pruner and ended up with the wire with a circle at each end. The address is the same as above 11120 Hindry Ave. UNIT B Los Angeles, Ca 90046
I wonder if Stihl Inc knows these ripoffs are using their name and products to scam people.

    • Worldwide International IS NOT the scamming company. Their name and address are being used by a company in India. Worldwide Int’l was unaware that they were being used, until my phone call to them. If you go onto your PayPal acct (if that is how you paid) you will see the name of the actual company is AMPHITRITE TECHNOLOGY LIMITED. Here is their address and phone: 2/212 A, Flat No. 7, 2nd Fl, Elumalai Salai 1st Street, Nanmangalam, Kovilambakkam, Chennai – 600 129, Tamilnadu, India. +91-90940 66699 or +9190948 66699.

I have filed complaints with the California Attorney General, Consume Fraud Division; with the Internet Crime Complaint Center; and with PayPal.
Most recently, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges, and they credited my account for the amount the sham company debited me.

I continue to see advertisements for the Stihl battery handheld rechargeable chain saw. They pop up during my Web browsing (the same video of happy Caucasians pruning their yards), but down in the corner of the screen in a tiny circular window there is a photo of the piece of wire with two rings.
BTW, my son took one of the 3 ‘chain saws’ I received and tried to cut a 1-inch diameter trunk. They do not work.

  • We ordered a small saw and got the same wire with 2 circles. Same address. Am I to assume this is a scam?

  • Just realized it is a woodcutting tool and that the wire with circles is depicted on the picture in my email. It states accessories so maybe that’s it. I will withhold judgement a bit longer.

    • You are screwed, I paid with paypal. have an on-going paypal dispute with this company with the same issue. It’s a scam then they try to sell you the actual chainsaw for $79.99. Only recourse is to fight through paypal or stop credit card payment if you can.

      • If you used your credit card, call or e-mail them immediately to dispute the transaction. Or if you dispute it on PayPal, make sure you select the reason to be item not as described. If you select tracking info. not received, the seller will send PayPal a tracking number for the wire with the 2 little circles and PayPal will automatically close the dispute and it won’t be able to be reopened. (Someone wrote this warning on another website). Change your dispute asap since you only have a limited time to do so. We changed it and PayPay said the seller offered us a partial refund of our purchase price + shipping costs less 10 cents. I have a feeling that the partial refund keeps them in good standing with PayPal, but I am going to report them to some legit government scam agencies. I have read about 100’s of people being scammed by them and not getting their money back. The sellers are crooks. I have a list of some of the sites they are selling under.

  • I received the same thing. No invoice, never ordered it and do not even know what it is. I also ordered a pruner and all it says when I try to go to the tracking info is waiting on merchandise.

  • I also recieved a chain for the pruner I ordered how do i get my money back or how do i get the pruner

  • Same happened to me. Original company XYZMORE which I cannot view my order. Same item for say under RosePros, Yeahyard, Dream gardens and others. Package with the wire from Worldwide int’s

  • I received what looks like a garrotte chain from you in the mail today that I did not order. Is this something that is essential to the GTA-26 that I ordered? If so, when will it be delivered? If not, one of us is getting scammed.

    • Wow! What s RipOff! I also thought I was getting a mini saw for trimming.
I also received the chain with 2 circles. No invoice only the return address. And a text notice of delivery from Rosepros. That was the name of company I ordered from. I’ll have my bank request refund.

  • I ordered the pruner and I just rec’d the same as the rust of you had.
A chain with a ring on each end. So I quess I was also scammed.

  • I ordered a pruner saw and I got a wire with 2 circles at each end! I did not expect to pay 20$ for a piece of wire! There is only the address of Los Angeles on the package! Was expecting to get what I ordered from Sthil!

    • Same here! Got 2 wires oredered from xyzmore Through Facebook return address was worldwide international and Los Angeles and I am asking for a refund from American Express

  • I received the same thing. No invoice, never ordered it and do not even know what it is. I also ordered a pruner and all it says when I try to go to the tracking info is waiting on merchandise.

    • I did the same thing but after I sent off the order, and the next day the price was $19.99 for the pruner I then realized was a scam chg. to Pay Pal I will see it they can get a refund if not just write it off if it sound too good to be true its a SCAM. FA

  • Ordered a Jacket and received something completely different including the letters “USN” embroidered on the front…I am in the USMC.

The jacket is a different material, cut, shape, type, color than the one I ordered!!??

  • The same thing happened to me one dinky chain with rings on the end did not get the battery operated saw they were advertising which is what we had ordered. would like my money back or the saw please help me get a fair deal. thank you

    • Ditto! Same exact thing. I’m so irate. I guess I’ll only stick with amazon. Or another company who I’ve trusted before.

  • I also ordered a hand held trimmer and got the chain with two metal rings. My son immediately identified as a chain saw

  • I ordered two battery powered Stihl chainsaws. A wire and two circles is what I received today. I wonder what Stihl would say about you using their name and saw for your Scam

  • Has anything else ever arrived? I ordered two battery operated chain saws. I only paid 40 a piece I think? Anyway, if nothing else ever comes, I’ll be so disappointed. This is an old fashioned wood cutter. Didn’t even COMPARE to the words “chain” and “saw”!

  • I also ordered a small saw and got the same wire with 2 circles. Same address. I figure this is a scam. That is really too bad because I could have used the small saw.

  • I guess I’m another victim of this scam. Received in the mail today, a small chain with 2 rings on each end from the same address as above.

    • I ordered a small chainsaw and got this wire with two circles on the end. I notified PayPal and they are supposed to be looking into it. I don’t know what this wire is for?

  • I also ordered the power chain saw & got the wire with the circles on the end. Is your company going to make this right?

  • i ORDERED THE PRUNER GOT A WIRE WITH 2 KEY RINGS AT THE END. THE ADVERTISMENT DID NOT SHOW THE WIRE AND RINGS IT SHOWED A HAND HELD SMALL CHAIN SAW. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISMENT. i AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. IVE SENT MINE BACK. I WILL TAKE FURTHER ACTIONS IF NEEDED. SOUNDS LIKE A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT FOR FALSE ADVERTISMENT…………

  • This is a scam to falsely advertise a product of a battery powered chain saw. Customer is charged $19.99 plus $6.00 shipping for a piece of chain with a ring on each end of the chain. How does such crap get to be on Facebook? It’s getting to be, you can’t trust anything or anybody.

    • I ordered the Battery-Powered Wood Cutter Chainsaw on Mach 25, 2021 for $19.99 plus $6.00 shipping. I also received piece of chain with a ring on each end today! I couldn’t imagine what it was or who sent it! Is this a scam & you are not going to send the chainsaw? If so, I am going to cancel my credit card payment! Please respond ASAP!

  • I just received three lengths of wire with key rings on each end, after ordering and paying $55+ for what I thought was the purchase of two Stihl hand-held pruner/chain saws. The return address on the small envelope is Worldwide Int’l Inc 11120 Hindry Ave Unit B Los Angeles, CA 90045

  • I am filing a consumer complaint with the California State Attorney General’s Consumer Fraud division. I would urge all of you to do the same.

  • Just dug up a phone number for this company: (310) 978-4777. Called, and spoke with a woman telling her I was in the process of filing a consumer fraud complaint with the California AG. She said her company deals in aerospace parts. Same address exactly. She took my info and said she would have a manager call me back.
Meanwhile, I am proceeding with a complaint with the AG’s office: The AG’s website is: oag.ca.gov/cfs

  • I too ordered a “Stihl” battery operated wood cutter, and received the chain with swivels and rings. I paid through Pay Pal, so I have started a dispute with the Resolution Center. Let’s see what happens….. and BTW, my husband also thought it was a garrote…

    • Update**I have an email for Amphitrite Technology Limited which is the name I purchased the “battery powered wood cutter ” from: [email protected]. Its the same address as listed in other messages above. The Paypal resolution center is having me contact them first, then if not satisfied, I upgrade it to a dispute. Let’s see what they say this time around, because they responded, and told me that I ordered the “accessory”. I showed them the order form which clearly states “Battery Powered Wood cutter”. So, we’ll see. I hope this helps someone else.

      • ***UPDATE- they have offered me $5.20 refund and I can keep the item. I have declined, and awaiting their response. I have told them I want a full refund, and will send the chain and two rings back to the address provided on the envelope.

        • ***Update – they offered me 40% refund and claim they are a small company. BS, I still see the ad all the time. My next step is to escalate it to dispute through Paypal.
**They claim I ordered the “accessory”. I copied the order that shows it says “Battery operated wood cutter” .

          • Final Update****
They have agreed to refund my money, but ONLY if I send the stupid chain to CHINA ! (not the address on the envelope in LA.

  • I ordered the pruner and the payment was made through my paypal account. I am returning the chain with the two circles at each end which is total useless and I will report this company with the attorney generals office to make sure that a refund is made. I did not order this stupid chain with two circles on it.

  • I also ordered a chain saw and received a peice of wire attached to a ring on each end . This is a sham company. How can I get my money back and file compliant Leroy (EMAIL: [email protected])

  • I ordered a battery powered wood cutter from Amphitrite Technology limited on March 27, 2021 and received confirmation that it was shipped 3/28/2021 sent by other. I received was a coiled wire with 2 hoops on each end. Return address was from: Worldwide Int’l INC 11120 Hindry Ave Unit B Los Angeles Ca 90045 nothing else. The cost was $25.99 and I have heard nothing else. It was paid through Paypal. When I try to contact the company they do not sell this product.

  • I order a brush trimmer and received a chain with a circle at both end. The return address is Worldwide aunt’s Inc, 1120 Hendry ave unit B. Los W California. What a rip off. I should of know the price wad to good. Wasn’t going to order it bit did.

  • I also ordered this saw and was sent a chain and two rings. I have taken my complaint to PayPal where this company gets paid. They WW Int’l offered me 19.99 but not the additional shipping/handling. After PayPal found out I didn’t have an account with them, they said I didn’t have the right to complain.
Therefore I have also asked my credit card company for the full refund of 25.99. I suggest everyone do the same this company is sending out fraudulent items knowingly.

PayPal should be doing something about this. Just go to Scam Pulse and see all the complaints.

  • I got the same thing and I ordered the small chainsaw also. I am tired of co.panies ripping people (me) off over the internet

  • Received a small package with wire and rings in it. I did not order this and am very concerned that this is a scam. I also ordered a pruner and after reading all the complaints, something isn’t right!!! Another rip-off scam??
I’m even wondering if there will be a follow to these comments. Somehow doubt it and will be following up. Somebody may be using your name!!!

  • Same as above I received two little keychain circles with a flimsy chain attached I did not order anything close to this. Same address as above. I ordered a small saw, and got this instead.

  • Same here. Pretty sure my hand held wood cutter is a garrote wire. Not cool scum bags.

  • I too ordered a small saw to trim branches off trees & thought it was legitimate as the name of Stihl was associated with it.
What I received after months of questioning where my order is received a metal chain with circles attached at both ends. WTH is this??
This has nothing to do with what was advertised & I paid for. RIP-OFF BIG TIME.

  • We too ordered a “battery powered Stihl pruner” only to receive the manual chain with metal rings on the ends. It was shipped from Los Angeles, Ca. but the ad thru Rosepros said it was supposed to be coming from Canada. Do not order from them! Definitely a scam.

  • Ordered a battery powered wood cutter from a site supposedly out of Houston, TX. When receive my Pay Pal receipt of payment it showed a gmail address for contact and the company name in Chinese. When I received notice of shipment(3 wks later), it was on some company called HAHDIY. What i received weeks later was a link of wire with a round keyring like holder on both ends, from the scam artist Worldwide INTL, Inc., at 11120 Hindry Ave., UnitB, LA, CA. That is what i received for my $29.38. I hope they rot in HELL.

  • I received a small package today with a metal wire and a ring attached to each end of it…A “battery operated chain saw”???? I am very disgusted and intend to get my money back. I will be filing a complaint with the CA attorney general’s office and opening a case with PayPal which I used to purchase this piece of junk!

  • I also order a mini saw and received a wire with two circles on each end. If this is what they call a saw
they are nuts. Total ripoff I am reporting them to our Attorney General this is ridiculous,.

  • I also received the wire with 2 rings on the end. I did not order this product. I ordered one of those small hand held saws. I guess I will never see the saw. Truly disappointed in this purchase. Stuff from California never makes it where it is suppose to go.

  • I just received a package with 3 pair of fake Birkenstocks in it. I DID NOT ORDER these and a charge had better not appear on my charge card or I will be filing suit! I intend to put them back in the envelope and return them, but remember, NO CHARGE must be made to my credit card.

  • Received my “pruner”, which consisted of a wire with round O on each end. WHAT A RIPOFF!
Where is the battery operated pruner that was shown in the ad? Hope Stilth is aware of this false advertising.

  • I also ordered the pruner and have not received it. Also, a friend ordered the same pruner. Both of us also received the chain with the loops on both ends. This is really a rip-off and I hope that somehow this company can be stopped from doing this type of thing.

  • UPDATE: I just attached a message with all the results of my sleuthing. Many of you say you’ve contacted PayPal. You should immediately escalate your complaint with them as YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE ITEM YOU PAID FOR WITH PAYPAL. PayPal needs to stop allowing this scam to use their services, which was a guarantee of validity. I figured it couldn’t be a scam is they use PayPal. My bad.
I got satisfaction by calling my credit card company (Capital One — I love them!) to dispute the fraud charge. They immediately credited my account for the full amount and say they will contact the scam company for resolution.
It is crucial to know that Worldwide International is a legit company that deals in aerospace parts. They were completely unaware that their address is being used as a shell for this scam. In fact, if you talk with anyone at Worldwide Int’l, their actual address is slightly different from the return address on your package. So sending back the ringed wires will arrive no where.

    • So to whom do we contact I don’t have a PayPal account but used a bank card that went thru PayPal Thxs for looking in to all this I got on they Facebook so why r they not checking into these scams better

  • I also ordered 3 handheld Stihl pruners and received three wires with circles at each end! Any one know how to report this and be reimbursed?

    • I got reimbursed today by PayPal. Today, May 21, 2021, I just posted what I did to get the refund. It is a response to someone named Michael. You should be able to find it.

  • I ordered an incense burner and the incense that went with it they say it was delivered. I never received it. I also ordered a pruning shear was supposed to come with a 26-powered lithium ion battery I received the chain with rings at each end.

  • I have ordered items twice and did not receive what I ordered. The first was a chain saw, I gat a chain and the second was a bycycle and got a flash light.

  • I ordered the Stihl pruner which I did not receive. They said they shipped it in April 14 and all I received was a little tiny chain with circles on each end. I think something ought to be done to these people for cheating people.

  • UPDATE ON CHAINSAW SCAM: Today I received an email from PayPal stating that the vendor, Amphitrite Technologies has agreed to give me a partial refund of $45.00. I will accept that refund and PayPal will close my file on my complaint. You should make your complaint with PayPal at the highest level. Also, the email for the vendor, which PayPal provided me, is: [email protected]
I would urge everyone who has been scammed by these dogs to send a nasty email to them. I’ve learned my lesson and will not purchase anything from popup ads.

  • Same thing happened to me. The merchant information is Amphitrite Technology Limited. They need to go to jail. Everyone’s money should be refunded. Wishful thinking. Do not ever order anything that is shipped from CHINA I will try to contact Amphitrite Technology.

  • I did not order what I received I think it’s a chain possibly for glasses no invoice or order form inside u will be returning to the address on the envelope an better not if been charged for it

  • I did not order what I received in mail today and best not be charged for it I will be returning it to worldwide intl inc 11120 hi dry ave unit b
    Los angales ca 90046
The only thing I ordered was a small hand held battery operated chainsaw
From rose pro I will be filing more complaints with them and attorney general in my state I received a chain with two circles on each end also and it’s not what I ordered

  • I ordered a battery operated saw and never got it and went to email them and it came back and tried to contact them to no avail………checked to be sure I did it correctly and I did ………I think you are a scam!!!! Called my AMEx and told them I never got it but it was on my bill and PayPal didn’t help either!!!

    • You need to enter a formal dispute with either your credit card company or PayPal or both. Do it immediately or you will be out of time to do it.

  • I paid for and did not receive the product I paid for Merchant Transaction ID OP148043UE432712C

  • I order a battery operated hand chain saw and I got a wire with loops on the end where is my chain saw

  • I also received clothing, rags, from this company return address. Obviously it is a scam. you are left with garbage merchandise with no return recourse.

  • I orerd and bought Battery powered wood cutter back in March ,I am still waiting, please send or refund my money back. Thank You Kathy Szpara

  • I ordered the battery operated chainsaw for pruning from them. I received a chain with two rings. I am very upset that PayPal allows this. I hate scammers and it looks like this company does it often. What do we do now?

  • I too was scammed. PayPal is paid by the merchants who know how to scam especially if operating overseas. I could not believe all the fake info I received from PayPal which of course came thru the company paying them.

  • I ordered a battery operated tree trimmer and got the chain with the round metal circle on each end. I paid thru paypal and disputing it.
I contacted JTCHIC and asked where is my battery operated tree trimmer and got no response.

  • I WAS ALSO SCAMMED. I ORDERED 2 BATTERY OPERATED HAND CHAIN SAWS AND GOT 2 CHAINS WITH RINGS ON EITHER END. I HAVE NOTIFIED THE POST OFFICE, BBB, AND FED TRADE COMM, IT WON’T GET MY MONEY BACK BUT I FEEL A LITTLE BETTER.

  • I received a small box of green grass seed treatment. No applicator as advertised, no directions on how to use the product, just 8 little bottles of a liquid that could be anything.

  • received a small package with two little chains in it.

  • I purchased from an ad on FaceBook. They promoted Stihl and delivered a piece of wire with loops on either end. I see the comments from William McCaughey and commend him for his actions. Will attempt to have PayPal refund my payment in this fraud.
